Jason Trembath

An award winning Filmmaker who has a passion for story telling. Jason grew up in far North Queensland in the Australian Outback before locating to Central Queensland. Jason became an avid fan of science-fiction and fantasy stories from an early age, which led him to want to become a Filmmaker.

His sense of adventure led him to sign up for Army Reserve Officer training at 18. He was commissioned as an Infantry Lieutenant while completing University and continuing to develop as a Filmmaker. 

After completing his Business Degree, he convinced his University to give him $30,000 in funding to produce/direct a low budget feature film. He acted as a one man operation - as Director/Producer/DOP/Editor and VFX.  

He later sourced $10,000 in business arts funding to completed Post-Production. 

Due to his efforts he was invited to shadow/intern on Season 6 of "Desperate Housewives".

Jason has continued to produce narrative, commercial and corporate content while developing his own narrative projects.

Between 2013 to 2016, he produced 2 large projects for Army Headquarters: "The Longest War" (Interactive Documentary on the Afghanistan War) and Army's first narrative Virtual Reality Film "The Year 2030: Future Warfare Simulator". 

The VR Project later went on to be selected at the Paris 360 Film Festival, Strasbourg VR Cinema (100 Year Great War Anniversary), London Sci-Fi Festival and Best VR at Sci-On Film Festival.

Jason is currently developing two feature science-fiction projects. With a recently produced science-fiction short to premiere at the Sci-Fi Film Festival in Sydney in September 2019.

Jason is also graduate of the AFTRS film school in Sydney, Australia.
